Garry Carr - Bio

I have been involved in carving since 1999, when I became a active member of the South Coast Wood carvers in Coquille, OR. I had some training from a master carver who was a member of the group. Now I prefer gourds to other forms of carving.

I specialize in art of the Native South West, which has always been a passion of mine. I do however enjoy all type of topics and have been commissioned to do pieces of specific art for private clients.

Most of my works are sold at juried Art Festivals in and around the North West. I have in the past been represented by several art Galleries on the Oregon Coast. I have always enjoyed the Art Festival format as it gives me a chance to talk with the customers and explain the pieces and answer questions. This interaction is a great source of inspiration for me in my new works.
